  • Advanced controls theory (nonlinear, robust, optimal, adaptive, etc) and machine learning theory.
  • Automation applications including connected and autonomous vehicles, intelligent machinery, automation for oil and gas applications, manufacturing system automation, etc.
  • Mechatronics research in both design and hardware prototyping
